Come out for a morning of fun, exercise and the great feeling that you are helping children with cancer. Swim in the Indian River Lagoon, Cycle along the shore on Ocean Drive, and Run or Walk the Ernest Lyons Bridge to raise money to benefit the Sunshine Kids! Last year's event was a huge success and raised over $ 16,000 for the Sunshine Kids. Come challenge yourself this year and join the fun !
Whether seasoned athlete or novice the third annual Sunshine Sprint is an event designed for you! A warm up or practice before your big triathlon, fitness goal, or fun day in the sun. This sprint triathlon consists of a .25 mile swim in the Indian River Lagoon, a 9.5 mile bike ride from Sewall’s Point up Ocean Drive to Jensen Beach and back south to the starting point, and a 2.6 mile walk or run over the Intracoastal across the Ernest Lyons Bridge and back. Participate in all three legs yourself, or build a relay team of up to three athletes. Throw down the gauntlet to your family, co-workers, neighbors, friends and earn bragging rights for the year.
The Sunshine Kids is a non-profit organization dedicated to children with cancer. Established in 1982, they are committed to providing positive group activities and emotional support for young cancer patients. The Sunshine Kids provides a variety of programs and events, free of charge, for kids who are receiving cancer treatments in hospitals across North America. Prudential Florida Realty has proudly supported of The Sunshine Kids since 1991.
